Immediate, total abolition — no exceptions
Troy is one of the wealthiest cities in Michigan, an Oakland County suburb built around the Somerset Collection, Kellogg Park, and a Big-Three engineering-and-management workforce. Its residents include large Chaldean Christian, Indian Hindu and Christian, and Chinese communities, along with a well-established secular professional class. Politically it has trended purple in recent cycles: Democratic in presidential races, Republican for local council seats.
Troy's religious composition mirrors Sterling Heights' Chaldean strength — several of the largest Chaldean Catholic parishes in the diaspora meet here. The Chaldean church's ancient position on abortion (against, without exception) puts a large fraction of Troy's Christian residents in natural sympathy with the abolition case, even where their political voting has diverged from that theology.
We are not currently aware of an abortion facility operating inside Troy city limits. The closest providers to Troy residents are in Sterling Heights and Warren (see the nearby-cities strip below).

A majority of Oakland County voters approved Proposal 22-3, the Reproductive Freedom for All amendment. Statewide, it passed 56.7% to 43.3%. A majority vote does not settle whether preborn image-bearers deserve equal protection under the law — that is a moral question the ballot cannot answer, and it is exactly the question the abolition movement asks Michigan to reopen.

Oakland County voted 62% in favor of Proposal 3 in 2022. Troy specifically was closer to 55%, one of the more competitive suburbs in the county — an audience with room for a serious abolition argument.
