Rockford is a small city north of Grand Rapids — home of the historic Wolverine World Wide shoe manufacturer (Hush Puppies) and a strong small-town Reformed Christian civic culture.
Rockford's Reformed and evangelical churches carry the West Michigan CRC/RCA teaching against abortion. The abolitionist argument extends that theology into civil law.
We are not currently aware of an abortion facility operating inside Rockford city limits.

A majority of Kent County voters approved Proposal 22-3, the Reproductive Freedom for All amendment. Statewide, it passed 56.7% to 43.3%. A majority vote does not settle whether preborn image-bearers deserve equal protection under the law — that is a moral question the ballot cannot answer, and it is exactly the question the abolition movement asks Michigan to reopen.
