Novi is the fastest-growing city in Oakland County — a Twelve-Mile-corridor suburb that grew from a rural township of 10,000 in 1970 to a wealthy commercial hub of nearly 70,000 today. It hosts Twelve Oaks Mall, the Suburban Collection Showplace, and the largest Muslim-American population in Michigan outside of Dearborn, along with substantial Indian-American, Korean, and Chinese communities.
Novi's religious composition is a mosaic — Islamic Center of Detroit-Novi, several major Hindu temples, Korean and Chinese Presbyterian churches, Catholic parishes, and evangelical mega-churches. The historic pro-life teaching in Islam, Hinduism, Catholicism, and confessional Protestantism all converge here, making Novi a strategically important city for coalition-building on abolition.
We are not currently aware of an abortion facility operating inside Novi city limits. The closest providers to Novi residents are in Southfield, Livonia, and Farmington Hills-adjacent (see the nearby-cities strip below).
Oakland County voted 62% in favor of Proposal 3 in 2022. Novi specifically was around 60% — persuadable, especially given the diverse religious traditions represented in the city that all teach against abortion.
