Immediate, total abolition — no exceptions
Iron Mountain is the largest city in the west-central Upper Peninsula — an iron-ore mining town on the Menominee Range, named for the mountain of hematite that anchored its 19th-century economy. Home to the Cornish Pump Museum and a strong Finnish-American and Italian-American heritage.
The Catholic and Finnish-Lutheran churches in Iron Mountain hold the historic pro-life teaching. The Upper Peninsula's political culture is independent and receptive to the abolitionist argument made on its merits.
