Auburn Hills is Oakland County's automotive-corporate hub — home to Chrysler's world headquarters, the Palace of Auburn Hills (now demolished but the site of Pistons and countless concerts through 2017), and the Oakland University campus.
The Reformed, evangelical, and Catholic churches in Auburn Hills carry the historic pro-life teaching. The abolitionist argument in Auburn Hills is the civil-law extension of that pulpit consensus — a shift from private conviction to public code.

A majority of Oakland County voters approved Proposal 22-3, the Reproductive Freedom for All amendment. Statewide, it passed 56.7% to 43.3%. A majority vote does not settle whether preborn image-bearers deserve equal protection under the law — that is a moral question the ballot cannot answer, and it is exactly the question the abolition movement asks Michigan to reopen.
