Macomb County · ~100,000 residents
Immediate, total abolition — no exceptions
Clinton Charter Township is Michigan's fourth-largest municipality by population — a fast-growing central Macomb community that has doubled since 1990. Home to a strong Catholic parish network, a substantial Chaldean and Assyrian Christian community, and Macomb Community College's Center Campus.
The Chaldean and Assyrian congregations here carry ancient Christian teaching on the personhood of the preborn from Nicaea forward. Clinton Township's Catholic majority holds the same. The abolitionist argument is the civil-law extension of the theological consensus already in the pulpits.

Prop 3 vote · Macomb County · 2022
A majority of Macomb County voters approved Proposal 22-3, the Reproductive Freedom for All amendment. Statewide, it passed 56.7% to 43.3%. A majority vote does not settle whether preborn image-bearers deserve equal protection under the law — that is a moral question the ballot cannot answer, and it is exactly the question the abolition movement asks Michigan to reopen.
